Skip is a drumline cadence (or lot hype, if you choose) designed for intermediate-level players.  The composition is kept at an average length with an optional repeat to be taken as often as needed (cued in by two bars of solo snare).  In this work, the greatest rudimental challenges are delegated to the snares while the tenors add afro-cuban flavors to the mix.  The bass and cymbal lines enjoy comparatively simpler parts, save for the bass break toward the end; these timing challenges are smartly accomodated by rim clicks to aid the performers in correctly spacing their triplets.  Should any changes need to be made to best suit the players, the director or technician responsible for that decision should feel free to make those adjustments so long as the integrity of the music remains intact.
