The Tune Locker is more than a music publisher. We are a company by and for artists, which led owner Sean W. Simmons to spearhead the project now known as our Artist Program.

What is involved in the process to become an artist here?
The Artist Program is central to The Tune Locker business plan. The truth for any music publisher is that they can't be run without good and talented people working to bring a common goal to fruition - and we are absolutely 100% committed to those people on our team. Our ambition is to foster a global network of composers working to bring #NewMusic to our platform, offering music educators, film directors, video game designers, and so many others a perfect new place to seek out fresh sounds.
In order to accomplish this goal, we seek to find the best and brightest to bring into a mutual partnership promoting each other's work. The Tune Locker agrees to promote its artists via a uniquely-tailored artist profile, social media, and other means. In return, the artist agrees to endorse our company and products and is allowed to publish music with us.

Once an applicant has been approved for possible acceptance into the Artist Program following a successful application, interview, and background check, they will be sent an invitation to begin on-boarding for the Artist Program (basically signing paperwork for the most part).​
What exactly do members of this program earn?
We are by artists and for artists - this definitely applies in our payment model when it comes to actual publishing. In general, composers who have published with us are paid 80% of sales on their work quarterly and are provided some basic insights on which of their works sell the best.
What benefits are associated with becoming a member of The Tune Locker's Artist Program?
This is the fun part. Artists with The Tune Locker can benefit from their relationship with us. Anyone who becomes an Artist with us can rest assured we will work hard to promote their work through any means we have available to us - this could mean social media posts and promotions, small targeted advertisements, email campaigns, and much more. We are also constantly hard at work developing our website, which means the potential for your work to be advertised within our own site and linked to our social media accounts.

Of course, it's not enough to us to simply promote your work. If we have gone through the effort to interview you and recruit you to our cause, that means we have a certain trust for you as a person; therefore, we take it upon ourselves to help you get gigs. Every artist in good standing with The Tune Locker gets a uniquely tailored artist page containing everything from a short professional bio, their choice of formal headshot for their profile picture, social media links, and even a contact form to help site visitors to get in touch with you. In the future, The Tune Locker hopes to host commissioning consortia to further promote our artists and the production of #NewMusic.
